The lab for neural circuit evolution.

Behavioral diversity abounds in nature.

What is the genetic and neural circuit basis of behavioral diversity and how does it evolve over time?

The neural basis of context dependent micturition.

The decision of where and when to release urine (voluntary micturition) is a tightly controlled cognitive process in both humans and mice. We use the laboratory mouse genetic toolkit to understand the anatomy and function of the central micturition circuit.

The genetic basis of torpor in wild rodents.

We combine behavioral ecology and genetics to understand behavioral diversity in wild populations. We are interested in how wild rodents adapt to a changing climate.
